The teaching and nurturing of children is very important to us at Penbrook Church of God.  All of our children’s ministry teachers and workers are trained in child protection procedures and all have the proper government clearances on file.  When leaving your children with our leaders, you can be assured they will be left in a safe environment.

 

Sunday School  9:00 AM  -  10:00 AM

On all Sunday mornings, except on the first Sunday of the month when we meet for a Unified Worship Service, our children in nursery through 5th grade meet in age-appropriate classes in the lower level of the church building. Bible lessons are taught for 15-20 minutes and are combined with a related activity such as games, video clips, crafts or activity sheets.  Contact the church office at 717.233.0160 for further information on children’s Sunday School classes.

 

Vacation Bible School  Usually scheduled for the last week in July

Our Vacation Bible School is held during the evenings of this week, usually from 6:30 to 9:00 PM.  The students are divided into “crews” and are led from activity to activity by our “crew” leaders.  Various activity stations include Bible lessons, crafts, music, recreation, and snacks.  Our church building is transformed from top to bottom with decorations depicting the theme of the week’s lessons.  For information, contact the church office at 717.233.0160.
